According to the U.S.EPA national Green House Gas(GHG) inventory released in 2017, CH4 total emissions were 26.23 Million Metric Tons (MMT) in 2015, of which about 25 percent of CH4 emissions were from natural gas systems (6.50MMT). The distribution of CH4 emissions from gathering and processing facilities and production sites are skewed, of which a small number of sites disproportionally contribute to overall emissions. For example, 30% of gathering facilities contribute 80% of the total emissions.

To counteract the deleterious effects of natural gas leaks, gas utility companies have been actively seeking efficient and low-cost leak-detection technology.

Utilizing drones equipped with Methane gas sensors, we help utility operators accurately identify leaks, geo-tag the location, density of the leaks so that proper actions can be taken to remedy the problem.
The oil and gas industry is the largest contributor to VOCs.

UAVs equipped with VOC sensors implemented to detect, analyze and verify leaked gases. Air quality mapping, model verification, analysis of potentially dangerous sites is all made possible by this novel innovation. VOC scans can be provided for H2S, CH4, CO2, SO2, VOCs, and above 30 other selected chemicals. VOC scans along with GPS position and altitude provides the location and type of the leaked gas.

The LMC sensor is designed to fit on a large variety of UAVs / drones. The base for the sensor is our proven Laser Methane mini instrument. The additional on-board LMC data grabber records the flown track together with the gas concentration in ppm*m. The data is available for reporting immediately following the flight and can be easily exported in a comprehensive leak survey report.

Rental units for system validation and for integration purposes are available in a limited number. Together with a network of UAV providers, we also provide inspection services.
